Roof coatings occupy a unique position in building maintenance: applied correctly to a clean and structurally sound surface, a quality coating adds years of life to an existing membrane while simultaneously reducing the roof's thermal load. The reflective surface keeps heat out of the building in summer, reducing air conditioning demand.
Allied applies silicone, acrylic, and elastomeric coatings depending on the existing membrane type, slope, and the building owner's goals. Each project starts with a substrate evaluation — a coating applied to a failing or wet membrane won't perform, so we confirm suitability before committing to a scope.
Coatings can often be re-coated at the end of their service life, extending the cycle without another tear-off. This makes them an economically attractive long-term strategy for low-slope commercial roofs.
